Why did God make us mortal ?
Mat and John Conversations
Book: “On the Meaning of Life.” © 2010 Jaime Hinojos
Part I : Why we don't talk about these things?
Mathew and John decided to get together to drink some tee and to talk about anything that would come to mind. Thus Matthew started the conversation:
M: Why many people don’t talk about things we don’t want to talk about?
J: What are those things we don’t want talk about Matthew?
M: The soul, the spirit, life before life, life after life, etc.
J: Some people might just consider useless, or futile to talk about those things.
M: Umm, looks like most people are content with the flow of their lives, but in reality they might not, who knows?
J: well, Mat, as you suggest, the coin of daily living has two faces: One is what we ordinarily see, and the other what we ordinarily don’t want to see or let others see. For example, let me ask you: When was the last time you visited a hospital?
M: Wait a minute! I don’t like hospitals. I hate them. In fact, I try to stay away from hospitals.
J: I see. You have strong feelings about hospitals. I wonder where are those strong feelings of yours are coming from. Perhaps those feelings are a clue on the things we do not want to talk about. Don’t you think it will be kind of interesting to unmask those and similar feelings?
M: Well John, I feel so about hospitals for what is in them: Ill people contaminated with all sorts of strange illnesses and infections, people about to die, and or people who were admitted because they suffered a terrible accident. In addition to people crying, depressed, desperate, anguished, smelly, etc… To me, it is just unbearable and depressing. Precisely, it all shows some aspects of the human condition.
J: We do need to talk about these things in order to talk about the things you pointed out people don’t want to talk about anymore.
M: Well, to me it’s just scary. I wish we didn’t have die. Why did God make us mortal?
J: Wait a minute friend. We have so many subjects. Why don’t we chose one, and perhaps we could ask our friends in the social networks like facebook, twitter, and bloggers, etc. to join the conversation. Although, I sense many of them will not be interested in discussing these subjects on the ultimate questions of human existence, here in the cloud. But who knows. Let us try anyhow. And yeah, granted, all things are related. So, when we talk about hospitals, jails, orphanages, hospices, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and about what goes in those buildings, it all has to do with our fragile, passing, and precarious human condition.
M: I see now. It looks like we don’t want talking about our whole human reality. But rather, we concentrate on the things we feel comfortable with. The uncomfortable, we just avoid them. And yet, they happen to us, they affect us, they occur to us.
J: Well Mat, why bother to think or talk about illnesses, decay, or death if those things will just come to us uninvited… Why not to keep our selves under the influence of our own illusions, drinking, and diverting.
M: But those things are good!
J: Indeed, they are. We all need recreation. We could not live without it. And we also need to enjoy what we do; but, they are the one side of the coin see and we talk about all the time…

He seguido tus pasos
J. Hinojos
He seguido tus pasos sin hallarte
He seguido tus huellas sin presencia
He buscado tu rastro sin palabras
He soñado despierto, y he despertado
Te he buscado en la noche y en sus almas
Te he buscado en el día y en la noche
Te he buscado en las aguas y en la tierra
Te he buscado en el cielo y el infierno
He explorado los bosques y montañas
He viajado a paises muy lejanos
He probado sabores y admirado colores
He tratado de oirte en el sonido
Soy quizá un reflejo de tu rostro
Soy quizá el aliento de tu boca
Soy quizá las palabras que tu hablas
Soy quizá melodía a tus oidos
He seguido tus pasos sin hallarte
He seguido tus huellas sin presencia
He buscado tu rastro sin palabras
He soñado despierto, y he despertado
Te he buscado en la noche y en sus almas
Te he buscado en el día y en la noche

Today we celebrate the new. I am new. I am Free
Today we celebrate the new. I am new. I am Free
By Jaime Hinojos
I celebrate all learning of the apparent old and yet new things. The newness of all calls us all to se it, and contemplate it with renewed senses. Amazing it is to know that in front of us, and behind the face we see there is something new for us to be amazed. And yet, we need new eyes to see the new. As I clean my eyes today, I prepare them to see the things, which will be unwrapped by the action of my spirit, and the faculties of my soul. Others are new and the old perishes all the while the new is being both conceived and born in the unfolding eternal moment of the now. Please, do not dare to get in the way, if you can’t see it, move aside and beg the heavens to grant you new sight, since you have become blind. If the eye is blind, all the body will be in darkness. Remember the blind spots. There are new things that your eyes refuse to see… Why? Ask yourself this question: Why do I refuse to see the new? Is it fear, pain, denial, existential emptiness, or lack of self-assurance. Remember the elephant tied with a chain of certain distance, and therefore, this elephant learnt to move only the distance permitted by the length of the chain. When the chain was removed… you know what happened… The elephant was free, and yet…
He said, I have come to free captives, to give sight to the blind… Do you understand now? He gave the new to us! For us to grasp, to fetch, to enjoy, to taste, to live, to see, to eat, to hear, to embrace, to love, to carry on, to tell others, etc. etc. etc. It is here, now, now, now!
Malachi foresaw it: “the day is coming, blazing like an oven… there will arise
the sun of justice with its healing rays.”
Yes, blind is the one who can’t see the new, or who wants to keep his eyes in the old. Newness is the news, He came to bring good news—please read this again—He came to bring good news. Notice again and again: “Good News.” The news of him are good news for all. The good of the newness affirms the newness of the good.
Inevitably, my mind is new, and renewing itself day by day, hour by hour, and by the minute. It is inside the interior castle. There is association of the bad, the evil, and the crooked with the old. In the end, the new will prevail over the old. The old perishes to give way to the new. He came to make all things new. And the force He set in motion is undergoing right now; at this very moment.

Working on Mastering
Yes, mastering after mixing and a little editing. Of course after daubing and recording. Which in turn came after composing. Where does all start to begin with ? I guess in the mind of the artist whom I call "artifice. Hence the name : " Proyecto Artifice ".

Catholics Come Home
I am amazed at how the way we learn has evolved and continues to evolve. In the recent past we needed to go to a public library and search a number of cards to find the subjects and the themes we needed to consult. Now, without taking away value of traditional ways of researching, information is so close at our finger tips that at times I just wonder where is this evolution of the speed of information and learning is leading us.
I know you know there are so many possibilities here, and that we can see some risks in all these evolving dynamics. But, we make progress because we take certain risks, and so, we need to be more discerning than ever. The adage goes : "Not every thing that shines is gold." And the Lord Jesus said: "I am the truth, the way, and the life."
My hope is that you and I will know the truth of Jesus, walk the way of Jesus, and have the life of Jesus. Hence, beware of false prophets !!! Beware of empty promises !!! Beware of deception !!! I will pray in the hope that our hearts and minds will be kept from error.
Catholics Come Home: "Coming home has never been easier. We are family. Welcome home."
